Most of them have been considered safe material to be used during pregnancy, but there are some restrictions too. There are a few ingredients that may be harmful when women are pregnant. The ingredient called sodium sulfacetamide should not specifically be used during the later stages of pregnancy. This may cause some disorders in the new born.
It can however be used in the earlier stages of pregnancy. The ingredient called “tretinoin” is not considered safe during pregnancy. It is also known to cause birth defects in the baby when it is born.
If the medical store does not have what you have been given in the prescription, do not accept any alternative drug. If it is alternative, make sure that it has all the ingredients you are allowed to use. Most of the time the doctor will advice you on what cream is safe. Then you will be safe when you buy it.
